A busy time ahead of us as we approach Christmas and the New Year. Here are some dates for the diary:
- Wednesday 13th December 2017
Deadline for applications for individual tutorial with Lynne Plowman. If you are planning to submit a score for the Galos Piano Trio, get some extra advice and support from Lynne that will help you complete your work.
- Friday 15th December 2017
Deadline for applications for a Young Ensembles Masterclass. If you are a play in an ensemble this masterclass with members of the Galos Piano Trio will provide you and your fellow players with practical advice on musical interpretation and help develop your ensemble and performance skills.
- Week beginning 29th January 2018
The Galos Piano Trio will be in west Wales running practical masterclasses with young ensembles. Dates and venues to be announced.
- Wednesday 14th February 2018
Deadline for submission of scores for the Galos Piano Trio. We happy to receive graphic scores, handwritten scores (full score and individual parts) or pdfs of full score and individual parts.
- Week beginning 19th March 2018
A series of school showcases during which the Galos Piano Trio will perform (and record) all the scores submitted. Dates and venues to be announced.
- Saturday 24th March
Celebration Concert in which the Galos Piano Trio will perform a selection of works composed for them as part of this year’s Dyfed Young Composers Scheme. The concert will take place at Neuadd y Dderwen, Rhosygilwen, starting at 7.30pm.
- Sunday 25th March
Young Musician of Dyfed Final with Ioan Evans, Andrea Jones, Heledd Jones, Sara Llewellyn, Rhydian Tiddy and Carys Underwood. The event will take place at Neuadd y Dderwen, Rhosygilwen, starting at 3pm.
